How to Recharge Your IGET Vape (Bar Pro, One, Star, Flare & More)

Not all IGET vapes are rechargeable, but the higher-puff models are — and knowing how to top one up properly means you actually get the full puff count printed on the box instead of throwing a device away with e-liquid still inside. This guide covers which IGET devices recharge, exactly how to do it, how long it takes, and what to do when a device refuses to charge.

Which IGET vapes are rechargeable?

As a rule of thumb, the bigger the puff count, the more likely the device is rechargeable. The IGET Bar Pro 10000, IGET One 12000, IGET Star L7000, IGET Flare B10000, IGET Hot and IGET Goat all charge over USB-C. The reason is simple: a device rated for 7,000–12,000 puffs holds far more e-liquid than a small battery can vaporise on a single charge, so the battery is designed to be topped up two or three times over the life of the device.

The original IGET Bar 3500 and the compact IGET XXL 1800 are single-use — their battery is matched to their smaller tank, so there is nothing to plug in. If you are not sure which camp your device is in, check the base for a USB-C port: a port means it recharges.

What you need

Just a standard USB-C cable — the same lead most modern phones, tablets and gadgets use. There is no special "IGET charger", and buying one is a waste of money. You do not need a wall plug either; any powered USB port works, including a laptop, a power bank or a car USB socket. A lower-output port (like a laptop) charges a little slower and is arguably gentler on the battery.

Step by step

Charging an IGET takes under a minute of effort:

  • Plug the USB-C cable into the port on the base of the device.
  • Plug the other end into any USB power source.
  • Watch the indicator — most models show a small light while charging that turns off, changes colour, or settles when full. Devices with a screen (like the IGET One) show the battery level directly.
  • Unplug once it is full. There is no benefit to leaving it connected overnight.

If your device is nearly out of liquid, you usually only need a short top-up to finish what is left rather than a full charge.

How long does it take?

From flat, a full charge on most IGET devices is quick — typically well under an hour on a normal USB port, and faster still on a higher-output charger. Because you are usually only topping up rather than charging from dead, most people find a few minutes is enough to keep vaping.

Is it safe to charge and vape at the same time?

It is best not to. Let the device charge, unplug it, then vape. Charge on a hard, non-flammable surface, never leave a charging device unattended for hours, and stop using any device whose battery gets hot, swells or smells off. These are sensible habits for any lithium battery, not just vapes.

Troubleshooting: my IGET won't charge

Nine times out of ten it is the cable or a dirty port. Try a different USB-C cable first, then gently wipe the charging port and the cable tip — lint and pocket fluff block the contacts more often than you would think. Try a different power source too, in case the port is dead. If a brand-new device still will not power up after all that, it is a faulty unit rather than a flat battery (these ship ready to vape), so contact us for a replacement.

Rechargeable or single-use — which should you buy?

If you vape daily, a rechargeable device like the Bar Pro or IGET One gives you far more puffs per purchase and less waste. If you only vape now and then, the simplicity of a single-use IGET Bar 3500 — unbox and go, nothing to carry — is hard to beat. Browse the full IGET range to compare.
